Tomorrow you will have an "in class writing assignment". Although I will not tell you the exact question or theme, I will tell you that you should practice and prepare for the past tense! (Preterite)

During this time, while the class is completely quiet and reading, I will pull indivual students in to the hallway for a brief oral question and answer time. THis will be counted as the oral portion on your midterm. The writing is always counted toward your midterm exam.

Be ready to answer questions from the question sheet and write in class without the use of notes!

Tomorrow I will begin to call students up for the oral portion of their midterm. You will not be allowed to have your paper with you. You will need to just converse in Spanish with the teacher. This is your chance to show off what you know. Use as much vocab and as much description as possible. The shorter your answers the more questions I will ask!!

QUIZ on irregular preterites TUESDAY!
Use the irregular preterite practice quiz for a study guide. You will not have the list of "categories" on the quiz like the practice.

Next week we will do a participation evaluation, grade do now books, practice for the exam and begin the oral portion of the exam.

 

Tomorrow I will checking/giving credit for:

1. the irregular preterite chart. It must be complete and correct to get full credit!
2. the packet I gave out when the substitute teacher came (tuesday) must be complete for full credit!
3. The practice quiz (MUST BE COMPLETE!!) We will go over the quiz in class tomorrow!!

I was out of school today to go to the Doctor and check for pneumonia.

This is the packet that was given out today. We will be going over it tomorrow.

Here is one for the regular preterites!  They've got rhythm!  Do you?  :-)  Try it!

Hoy hicimos unas practicas del preterito. Jugamos un poco tambien.

In the first document we finished the first page in class and will finish the second tomorrow.

In the 2nd document you must complete ALL (both pages) write the definition in the parenthesis and complete all the preterite endings. There is a lot in the preterite and so this is probably new for most of you!

Stay with me; you can do it!! Then we can talk about what you did over the weekend or vacation etc!

I will stay after school Wed. and Thursday for anyone who would like some extra help!!
